
Scott Toncray directs the integrated marketing communications plan for the Wycliffe Foundation, Wycliffe Bible Translators USA, and JAARS. Previously, Toncray developed and implemented the marketing and advertising strategy for a regional financial services firm. Prior to that, he worked in higher education administration.
Toncray conceptualized the marketing plan for the JAARS KODIAK Airplane Project, produced recruitment and development collateral for the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL) and took a leave to work as a field public information officer for the federal government during Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in southern Mississippi. He has also covered stories in Guatemala and Papua New Guinea.
Toncray is a native of Georgetown, Ky., and received a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University's School of Journalism and Broadcasting, with a double major in Public Relations and Psychology. He also serves on the boards of the Orlando Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Central Florida Chapter of the American Marketing Association and the Lake Nona YMCA. He is president of the central Florida WKU alumni chapter.
