Steph comes into this role with 15 years of experience and complex technical expertise in charitable gift planning. He was raised in Maryland and Eastern Pennsylvania, the son of a pastor/missionary. Since receiving a BS from Houghton College he has served in various ministry leadership roles since 1986 – and moved into gift planning in 1995. Most recently Steph served as Director for Gift Planning with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. His gift planning training includes the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary and the American College.
He and his wife Paula have been married for 36 years – with two children and six grandchildren who actively serve in ministry. Steph’s life mission is to enable and equip Christian stewards to endow Christian ministry through gift planning and donor development – and thereby, to bring back the King. With this philosophy coupled with his vast technical expertise, he is well suited to Wycliffe Foundation’s ministry of gift planning and helping people discover and implement God’s plan of stewardship for what He’s entrusted to them.
